• 2002 - Alpha Imaging Technology Corp. (AIT) is founded, headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan,

dedicated to developing the most cost-effective and high performance multimedia for mobile

applications, such as mobile phones and portable devices.

The main products include a highly integrated mobile multimedia processor (MMP) with a full-HD video

compression engine (H.264/MPEG4), a high-quality video signal processor (ISP) and an audio processor.

• 2012 - MediaTek first acquired MStar Semiconductor Inc. and later Ralink Technology Corp.

MStar Semiconductor, Inc. established MSilicon Technology Inc. (“MSilicon”) acquired AIT

• 2015 - MStar Semiconductor has completed its acquisition of fellow IC design company AIT
